Q: What does the registration price cover?A: Registration for Gathering of the Shamans covers lodging and meals at Sedona Mago Retreat Center and all programming. Travel is NOT included; you will need to make your own travel arrangements. Phoenix Sky-Harbor Airport (PHX) is the closet airport to the retreat center. Please visit the Sedona Mago Retreat Center travel recommendations for a list of shuttle services that take you from PHX directly to Sedona Mago Retreat.Q: Do I have to participate in the Firewalk to attend this event?A: You do not have to walk on fire if you do not want to do so. Just watching others do so is a transformative experience. Please see our Firewalk specific FAQ for more info.Q: Can I sign up for the optional Preconference or Postconference workshops without signing up for the main event?A: No. The optional pre and post conference workshops are only available to attendees of the main event. You will have the ability to add a pre or post workshop at checkout for the main event.Q: Can I stay on Thursday or Sunday night at Mago without attending a Pre/Post Conference?A: Possibly - please email firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire into availability for these nights. Do not contact the retreat center directly.Q: What if I need to arrive early / leave late because of my travel plans?A: You are welcome to arrive at the retreat center as early as 1pm on Friday (or Thursday if you are attending a Preconference Friday and have selected Thursday night lodging).Checkout is on Sunday at noon (or Monday if you are attending a Postconferece with Sunday night lodging) but you are welcome to be on the grounds or in the registration center in the afternoon to accommodate your shuttle pickup etc.Q: Is there parking onsite if I drive to the retreat center?A: Yes, there is parking available if you are driving instead of taking a shuttle from the airport. Please see the Sedona Mago Retreat Center Driving Directions as some map software guidance is incorrect.Q: I live in the area. Can I stay offsite and commute to the Gathering?A: In order to cultivate the kind of rich community experience Gathering of the Shamans offers, all attendees must stay onsite at the Sedona Mago Retreat Center. The only exception to this is Volunteer Staff, who can attend the event at a REDUCED (not free) rate in exchange for light volunteer duties. To inquire about these opportunities, please email email@example.comQ: When will we be able to see a detailed schedule?A: Our teachers have specifically asked that the schedule of events not be posted. Instead, you are invited to surrender any preconceived ideas, assumptions, or expectations you may have about this weekend, so that you may experience a powerful Shamanic retreat unlike any other.Q: Can I share a room with my partner/friend?A: Yes! You can definitely request a roommate when purchasing shared accomodations. When you register, please indicate the name of your roommate in the comments section of the checkout screen. Please note that your roommate will also need to register. If your requested roommate does not register for the event before it is sold out, you will be randomly paired with another attendee of the same gender.Q: I snore/talk in my sleep/need a quiet roommate. Can I make a special roommate request based on these factors?A: Unfortunately, we’re unable to pair roommates based on these kinds of preferences. If you need absolute silence in order to sleep, we recommend registering for a private room, or bringing along helpful items like ear plugs etc. in order to ensure that you have a comfortable experience at Gathering of the Shamans.We do ask all attendees who are sharing a room with an assigned roommate to be open to the adventure of meeting someone new! Deep friendships have been formed at Gathering of the Shamans this way.
Our Shamanism & the Divine Retreat will be taking place at the Mago Retreat Center right AFTER this event! Come to both and get an abundance of inner work and soul-cleansing done by attending two incredible events in one amazing trip!
