Brave, Intuitive Painting with Flora Bowley
For creatives of all levels (no previous experience required)!
Have you always wanted to paint, but you’re not sure where to begin? Or are you a veteran painter who would like to try a new approach?
Join Flora for an inspiring, supportive, and playful day of Brave Intuitive Painting where you’ll fill your basket with tools to unlock your creative freedom.
Flora’s soulful and unique approach to painting offers an inspiring jump-start to any creative habit by inviting a whole new way of painting (and being) from a space of freedom, non-judgment, and experimentation. The focus is on loosening up, tuning into your intuition, releasing expectations, and welcoming authentic expression back into your art…and life!
Throughout the day, you’ll learn tangible tools about color combining, mark-making, and painting in layers while also focusing on becoming more courageous, playful and free along the way.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a great foundation to continue your intuitive painting explorations at home. You’ll also gain powerful tools for accessing your intuition and living a more creative life. If you’re already a painter, this workshop will offer new layers of insight and the opportunity to work with Flora one-on-one to deeper your painting practice.
Supplies are included!
Unfolding Your Creative Wisdom: Hand-Made Artist Books with Amy Maricle
Amy loves to bring a playful, non-judgmental approach to art making. With exercises for mark making, intuitive painting, creative writing, lettering, and simple book making, you’ll spend your day immersed in the creative process.
This work dances between focusing on the process of making art and following the guidance of your intuitive voice. Amy will help you bring mindful attention as you work – hearing the sound of the brush moving across the page, feeling the texture of the paper, and noticing your breath, as you learn to use art as a tool for mindfulness.
An artist book is a precious and special art piece since the viewer must hold it to reveal its contents. You will create 1 – 3 unique, handmade art journals, and take home a PDF cheat sheet of the techniques you learned to fuel your creative practice for years.
This workshop is open to all experience levels.
Your art supplies for this class are included!
The Power of Your Other Hand with Lucia Capacchione, PhD
For everyone—artists/non-artists, and writers/non-writers alike!
Give a voice to your creative self on a completely different level, unearthing buried talents and inspiration. Unlock creativity and inner wisdom for healing and living the life of your dreams by accessing your right brain through your non-dominant hand.
Lucia Capacchione, author of the ground breaking book, The Power of Your Other Hand, is your guide for exploring the language of spontaneous art from the Playful and Creative Child within. In a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere you will break through creative blocks by letting your left brain know what your right brain feels and wants. Connect the hemispheres through drawing, followed by written dialogs using both hands. These simple methods can be applied to stress reduction, physical healing, Inner Child and trauma work, and finding spiritual guidance within. Be prepared for fun through coloring and writing with both hands.
Talent or training in art or writing not required. Art supplies are included. Please bring a notebook or journal.
